Missouri has enacted Insurance Fairness for Amputees legislation.
Insurance Fairness History
The Missouri General Assembly passed Insurance Fairness for Amputee legislation in 2009. House Bill 577 was signed into law by Governor Jay Nixon (D) on July 13th, 2009.
The Missouri General Assembly works on a two year cycle and in 2019 will be in the first year of their cycle. The 2019 Legislative Session convenes January 9th and will tentatively conclude May 17th. The Missouri General Assembly is able to prefile legislation for the upcoming session until January 9th. Introduction deadlines for the 2019 Legislative Session has been set for 60th legislative day.
Currently, the Republican Party controls both chambers of the State Legislature and the Office of the Governor.
