Indiana has enacted Insurance Fairness for Amputees legislation.
Insurance Fairness History
The Indiana General Assembly passed Insurance Fairness for Amputee legislation in 2008. House Bill 1140 was signed into law by Governor Mitch Daniels (R) on March 21st, 2008.
The Indiana General Assembly works on two year cycle and in 2019 will be in the first year of their cycle. The 2019 Legislative Session convenes January 3th and will tentatively conclude April 29th. The Indiana General Assembly will hold an organizational session beginning November 11th, 2018. Legislators able to prefile legislation for the upcoming session until the fourth day of session. An introduction deadline has not been determined for each chamber.
Currently, the Republican Party controls both chambers of the State Legislature and the Office of the Governor.
