Amputee support groups provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals living with limb loss or limb difference as well as their family members. They are an invaluable place to connect with others who have overcome similar challenges and setbacks. With over 200 support groups registered with the Amputee Coalition, individuals with limb loss or limb difference and their families across the country are receiving vital support to help them along their journey. Participation in support groups provides members the opportunity to express their feelings, learn helpful information, improve social skills and realize they are not alone.
Please note that registered support groups are not managed directly by the Amputee Coalition. We highly encourage you to contact the support group prior to going to a meeting as days/times/formats/locations may change. You can search for a support group using our searchable database, Community Connections, the dropdown filter for Support Groups and entering your zip code. Click here to search for a support group.
The Amputee Coalition is hosting weekly online support groups, and we want you to be part of them. In these free meetings on Zoom, individuals and families can connect with other individuals and family members who relate to living with, or caring for someone with limb loss or limb difference. These meetings are led by volunteer Support Group Leaders from the Amputee Coalition’s Support Group Network. Click here to learn more and register to join us.
