State Outlook

Kansas has not previously introduced Insurance Fairness for Amputees Legislation and it is a target state for the 2019 session. We are actively seeking advocates to assist the efforts to introduce and pass legislation.

Legislative Information

The Kansas State Legislature works on a two year cycle and in 2019 will be in the first year of their cycle. The 2019 Legislative Session convenes January 14th and will tentatively conclude mid-May. The Kansas Legislature is able to prefile legislation, but prefiling and introduction deadlines have not been determined for the 2019 Legislative Session.
