New Hampshire has enacted Insurance Fairness for Amputees legislation.
Insurance Fairness History
The New Hampshire General Court passed Insurance Fairness for Amputee legislation in 2003. Senate Bill 152 became law without Governor Craig Benson’s (R) signature on July 1st, 2003.
The New Hampshire General Court works on two year cycle and in 2019 will be in the first year of their cycle. The 2019 Legislative Session convenes January 2nd and will tentatively conclude late June. The New Hampshire General Court will hold an organizational session beginning December 5th. Introduction deadlines for the 2019 Legislative Session has been set. The House’s deadline is set for January 18th and the Senate’s has not been determined.
Currently, the Democratic Party controls both chambers of the State Legislature and the Republican Party controls the Office of the Governor.
The New Hampshire General Court works on a two year cycle and has completed the second year of the cycle. The 2018 Legislative Session adjourned sine die June 30th, 2018, and will reconvene in January 2019. The legislature is able to prefile legislation, but the dates for the prefiling period have not been determined.
