Golisano Restorative Neurology & Rehabilitation Center is a 25 bed CARF (Commission of Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) accredited inpatient rehabilitation unit that was established in 1989 and provides a complete range of services to adults and children with neurological, orthopedic and complex medical conditions, including limb loss.
Our Team takes an interdisciplinary approach and includes skilled physicians, nurses, neurologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech language pathologists and dietitians to prepare patients for return home and achieve their highest functional level of independence to maximize their participation in community. Our team also works with local prosthetic providers to guide and prepare patients toward achieving the best possible outcomes. In 2020, we served 12 patients with amputations and our discharge to community was 91.7%, above the state and national average.
We are excited to partner with the Amputee Coalition to bring even more comprehensive care to our patients and their families dealing with limb loss and provide resources to peer visits and support groups.
