The Amputee Coalition has provided a unified and independent voice for the past 30 years representing those affected by limb loss. Since 2000, the Amputee Coalition made adequate and affordable access to prosthetic care a hallmark of their policy priorities. Over the years this access to prosthetic care has been under attack. From policies that restrict coverage to $2,500 per year or $5,000 per year, policies that limit coverage to “one limb per lifetime,” denials of medically necessary devices, all the way up to the 2015 Draft Local Coverage Determination (LCD) that was published by the Durable Medical Equipment Medicare Administrative Contractors. Watch this Webinar to learn about what the Amputee Coalition is doing about these and other issues impacting access to care and how you can get involved, share your voice, and make a difference.
