Locomotor Response of Persons With Upper Limb Loss to Treadmill Perturbations

Research Objective
The goal of this project is to better understand how upper limb loss or deficiency may affect walking balance. Participants will visit the laboratory at Northwestern University once for up to 3 hours. Your movement will be observed while you experience a safe and controlled walking disturbance.

To Participate, you need to be:

  1. 18-65 years old;
  2. upper limb loss or deficiency below the elbow on one arm;
  3. use of an upper limb prosthesis;
  4. No lower limb loss or deficiency
