Touro Rehabilitation Center’s Limb Loss Program addresses the comprehensive needs of individuals following an amputation. Loss of a limb is a major life event. Whether loss was traumatic, due to cancer, or the result of complications of peripheral artery disease, infection, or diabetes, the Limb Loss Program provides patients with the information, resources, and support needed to adapt to life without a limb. The program offers nutrition and limb loss education classes, a resource and educational manual, a support group, prosthetic clinic to meet new and ongoing prosthetic needs, adaptive recreation, community reintegration, and specialized therapy. Touro Rehabilitation is proud to be partnered with the Amputee Coalition to provide additional limb loss resources.
