Improving Acceptability and Outcomes for Upper Extremity Transplantation in Service Members and Veterans (ARMS)

Research Objective
This survey is designed to collect the opinions of veterans and service members with regards to hand and arm transplantation compared to prosthetics and other reconstructive treatments. The goal of the study is to learn more about the experiences of these individuals with upper extremity limb loss, the experiences with prosthetics, and examine any interest in hand and arm transplantation among veterans and service members.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Have an amputation of one or both upper limbs (below the shoulder)
  • Must be currently serving or have past service in the Armed Forces or National Guard
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Compensation
Up to $175 ($25 per survey)

Time Commitment

  • Approximately 20 Minutes Per Survey
  • You will be asked to complete 4-7 surveys over several months
