Happy Thanksgiving from your Amputee Coalition Government Relations Team!

Ana-Maria Gutierrez Blog

As we look forward to the Thanksgiving holiday, the Amputee Coalition Government Relations Team would like to thank and show our appreciation for the limb loss and limb difference community and all of our advocacy volunteers. Our government relations work is not possible without your persistence and dedication to share your important stories with your lawmakers.

We are especially grateful for our Lead Advocates who have been instrumental in advocating year-round for the limb loss and limb difference community and making progress on our legislative priorities by building strong relationships with their Members of Congress.

We are thankful for the leadership and tireless work of Senator Tammy Duckworth, Senator Marsha Blackburn, Representative G.K Butterfield, and Representative Brett Guthrie for serving as our original sponsors of the Triple A Study Act and being champions of the limb loss and limb difference community!  We look forward to continuing to work with you to advance the Triple A Study Act.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to each of the following cosponsors of the Triple A Study Act:

  • Sen. Van Hollen
  • Sen. Hassan
  • Sen. Moran
  • Sen. Warnock
  • Rep. Harshbarger
  • Rep. Soto
  • Rep. Case
  • Rep. Cohen
  • Rep. Trone
  • Rep. Craig
  • Rep. Smucker
  • Rep. Ross
  • Rep. Langevin
  • Rep. McCollum

We are so grateful for your support of the limb loss and limb difference community and look forward to continuing to work with you to pass this important legislation.

We hope that each and every one of you are able to take the time to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday with your friends and family.
