This CPV Training supports the Amputee Coalition’s Key Tenet: No Amputee Alone.

Target Audience: This volunteer certification training is intended for registered 2023 National Conference attendees who are living with limb loss/limb difference and family (non-professional) caregivers who are caring for a loved one with limb loss/limb difference. The Amputee Coalition welcomes CPV candidates from a variety of levels and causes of limb loss/limb difference, as well as demographics.

Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Apply listening skills to provide meaningful peer visits in a variety of settings
  • Identify and respond to the phases of emotional adjustment and elements of recovery
