Register/Update Your Support Group

Please note that registered support groups are not managed directly by the Amputee Coalition. As more support groups are switching to virtual meetings, or meetings are being canceled, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, we highly encourage you to contact the support group prior to coming to a meeting as days/times/format may change.

The Amputee Coalition is hosting weekly online support groups on Thursday evenings, and we want you to be part of them. These meetings are led by volunteer Support Group Leaders from the Amputee Coalition’s Support Group Network. Click here to learn more and register to join us.

Youth Mini-Camp 2021

We know the importance and value of our campers and counselors connecting face to face each summer. However, we have developed innovative and more inclusive ways for our campers to still bond together. The Amputee Coalition understands that children experiencing limb loss or limb difference can be challenging for them and their caregivers, especially during these unprecedented times. That is why our Weekend Mini-Camps are the perfect way for young people to gain a new sense of self-confidence and awareness.

Weekend Mini-Camp will allow folks to participate in other local activities during the week but still get an opportunity to hang out with our community. To help fight social isolation for the limb loss and limb difference community, we build out activities to help connect our campers, junior counselors, and counselors.

We will provide age-appropriate activities, games, movie streaming sessions. Still, most importantly, it will give ample time for campers to hang out with old and new friends and engage in organic peer support through conversation with peers.

Though our connection method will be different, our mission remains: To make a difference in the lives of children with limb loss and limb difference by increasing their self-confidence and self-esteem through a traditional and supportive summer camp experience.

Camp is about the people, not the place.
