Staying connected and feeling supported is important to your emotional and physical health and well being. Now more than ever, it’s important to use online tools to find someone to talk to who can help you manage your limb loss or limb difference journey. The Amputee Coalition’s Certified Peer Visitor (CPV) program offers individuals and families the opportunity to meet with someone with limb loss or limb difference who can be a good listener, offering support, encouragement, and advice.
We now have an app that can help people connect with a CPV, and we want to show you how to use it. Join us on Friday, April 24 at 12 p.m. for a live webinar where you can see the App in action, ask questions, and feel more confident about using the app to reach out for and receive support.
The Amputee Coalition Support App allows users to:
- find a Certified Peer Visitor;
- schedule a phone, email, or videoconference appointment; and
- connect with an Amputee Coalition Certified Peer Visitor to receive support and encouragement.
The Amputee Coalition Support App includes HIPPAA-secure in-app video chat and text messaging for peer visits. The Amputee Coalition’s Certified Peer Visitor program is the only proven method of improving physical and emotional well-being for individuals beginning their limb loss or limb difference journey.
