On Thursday, March 8th, the Connecticut Legislature will hold a public hearing regarding prosthetic parity in health insurance coverage. We are asking the Insurance and Real Estate Committee to introduce a bill during the 2018 session supporting fairness in health insurance coverage for prosthetics by removing exclusions and coinsurance requirements from health insurance plans so that all people with limb loss or limb difference can get prosthetic care that best suits their individual needs.
Ask your family, friends, and healthcare professionals to also demonstrate their support by attending this important public hearing. If you are unable to attend, please contact the Committee Co-Chairs (contact info below) to voice your support.
