Amputee Walking School (Lexington, KY)

June 6, 2019 @ 4:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Walk with confidence! The clinic will introduce treatment approaches for improved function and return to a more active lifestyle with increased independence. Understanding the dynamics of prosthetic devices and how to properly control them will enable individuals to walk/run, move side to side, bend down, jump and climb stairs with more confidence. Techniques introduced will increase strength and flexibility helping participants operate more efficiently and safely. One-on-one opportunities and “hands on” participation techniques will apply. Professionals in the field of rehabilitation therapy and sport will receive high level training in advanced exercises appropriate for use with participants of all ages to improve ambulating. Amputees of all ages are encouraged to attend every clinic date.
