Today, the Amputee Coalition commemorates the incredible legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. A pillar of the Civil Rights Movement, Dr. King fought in pursuit of a dream that our “little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”
We are committed to making Dr. King’s dream reality by fostering a space that is inclusive of all people living with limb loss or limb difference regardless of race or nationality.
Our nation commemorates MLK Day as a National Day of Service. Here at the Amputee Coalition, we encourage you to spend time today (and every day) becoming more involved with us and with our community. You could:

- Become a Certified Peer Visitor
