Do you want to be a part of the movement to change minds and hearts to support the limb loss and limb difference community? Then, the 2023 Advocacy Forum is where you want to be! The Amputee Coalition is proud to announce this year’s Advocacy Forum will be held, in person, April 16-19, 2023. This year’s theme, “Elevate Your Voice,” will highlight ways to expand awareness of limb loss and limb difference and our community’s lived experiences and challenges to policymakers. Amputee Coalition hosts the Advocacy Forum every April in honor of Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month to connect community members to advocate for policies and legislations that support people living with limb loss or limb difference. Join us at this year’s Forum to make your voice heard and positively impact the future of amputees. This is YOUR opportunity to collaborate with fellow peers and legislators to bring about change.
This year’s Forum will offer an opportunity to:
- Meet and speak with Senators and Congressmen/women to advocate on behalf of the limb loss/limb difference population
- Learn about policy issues facing the community
- Collaborate and network with peers
- Experience new lead advocacy training
- Enjoy a Welcome Reception and Exhibit Hall
- And many other fun add-on experiences
The Amputee Coalition strives daily to build a vibrant network of advocates to advance the needs of the 2.1 million Americans living with limb loss and limb difference and the 28 million Americans at risk of experiencing limb loss. We also recognize this population will double by 2050. We believe the time to act is now to ensure support for those living with limb loss and limb difference.
