What are the accommodation arrangements?
The 2023 Advocacy Forum will be held at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, 5000 Seminary Road, Alexandria, VA 22031. The cost is $199 per night. ADA rooms are available upon request at no additional charge.
What are the parking arrangements?
There is parking available at the hotel at $15 per day.
Are there any organized shuttles?
Shuttle bus service will be provided to restaurants within a five-mile radius of the hotel for meals during your stay. Coach bus service will be provided to Capitol Hill for Hill Day on April 18. Transportation will not be provided to and from the airport. The hotel does not offer this service.
What is the dress code?
Business casual – April 16-17
Business attire – April 18 (Hill Day)
Do I need to bring any special equipment?
Yes, please bring any equipment needed to make your stay as comfortable as possible. For Hill Day, scooters will be available to rent. More information on scooter rental coming soon.
How do I let you know about my special dietary requirements?
You can list your dietary needs when you register.
When can I register?
- Registration began Dec. 1. The deadline for registration will be 11:59 a.m. ET March 17. The last day to reserve a room at the early bird rate is Jan. 15.
Registration fees include:
- 5 meals, including welcome reception with entertainment
- Morning exercises
- Transportation
- Access for one attendee – sharing of attendee credentials is not permitted at any time. Credentials are issued only to the attendee named in the registration
- Access to all sessions
- On-demand access to all recorded sessions available after the live training
- All social and networking sessions activities
- Access to the interactive exhibit hall
Can I register at the venue?
Yes, registration will be offered on-site.
How do I pay for the registration?
Payment must be received in full before attendees will be granted access to the program. If paying by check, please ensure your check is received by the Amputee Coalition no later than March 17 to guarantee access. Please include a copy of the invoice or confirmation email with your check. Payment information is provided on your invoice/confirmation email. For questions, contact events@amputee-coalition.org.
Is travel included in the conference registration fee?
No, travel is not included in the conference registration fee.
Is the Advocacy Forum registration fee a daily rate, or does it cover all three days?
The registration fee covers all three days and is a one-time fee.
What airport should I fly into?
Ronald Reagan National Airport is closest to the hotel, approximately 8.8 miles away. There is no shuttle service to and from the airport. The hotel does not provide this service.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Requests for cancellations and/or refunds will be accepted until March 17, and a 20% administrative fee will be deducted. Please note that this fee will be incurred for all cancellation/refund requests, regardless of when they are received. Once a registration has been charged to a credit card, the Amputee Coalition cannot change the credit card used for payment. Refunds will be credited using the original method of payment less the cancellation fee. Cancellations received after the cutoff date will not be refunded for any reason. Refunds will not be issued for no-shows. Please remember that canceling your registration does not automatically cancel your hotel and travel arrangements. Attendees are responsible for canceling their own hotel and travel reservations.

What happens if the event is canceled due to weather conditions?
FORCE MAJEURE
After the cancellation cutoff date, payments made are not refundable for any reason, including, but not limited to, failure to use forum attendance credentials due to illness or due to any event beyond the reasonable control of the parties, such as an act of God, natural disaster, travel-related problems, or an act of terrorism.
