Educational Modules for Healthcare Providers

Current Practices in Amputee Care CDCURRENT PRACTICES IN AMPUTEE CARE is now available to educate healthcare providers about up-to-date treatment methods that will enable patients with limb loss to return to active and productive lives.

CURRENT PRACTICES IN AMPUTEE CARE, is a must for any healthcare provider that wants to provide the best possible care for its patients. The modules on this CD provide continuing education about limb loss by helping healthcare providers to understand the appropriate sequence of events that occur before, during and after the amputation of a limb, including emotional and physical recovery and prosthetic options.

CURRENT PRACTICES IN AMPUTEE CARE does not train healthcare providers to perform specific procedures, but instead gives them a basic understanding of the processes and procedures needed to help their patients achieve an optimal recovery and to convey the importance of a team approach to healthcare.  There are seven modules, all on one CD:

  4. Post-Amputation Pain
  5. Overview of Prosthetic Care and Devices
