Join us in Louisville, KY for an energizing, educational, event: our 2017 In Full Swing conference. The program is packed with more than 80 items including adaptive activities, expert presentations, technology sessions, gait clinics, round tables, and much more. Saturday night is capped with a Gala Dinner and Dance.
“The 2017 National Conference builds on past successes,” said Jack Richmond, President and CEO. “We are incredibly thankful that so many people volunteer their time and expertise to make the event memorable and impactful.”
The National Conference was first held in 1992 with fewer than 50 attendees. With attendance topping 1,000 in 2016, the Conference has grown, helping to provide information to help people affected by limb loss live life fully. This year, educational sessions focus on different levels of limb loss, on advocacy as a patient and a citizen, on medical advances, and on all aspects of living well with limb loss.
In addition to a full educational lineup, the every spot in the exhibit hall is full, sharing technology, products, services and care.
Adaptive activities are also numerous, including swimming, dancing, yoga, Zumba, and self defense. Some of the most popular sessions are the gait clinics. The schedule includes pediatric, fall avoidance, running, walking, and bilateral above-knee courses.
As one attendee shared, “The conference is a life changing experience for every amputee. To be able to meet others that share your experiences and to learn from others that have walked the path before you is immeasurable.”
Caregivers, family, friends and professionals who serve the limb loss community will all find something of interest.
If you haven’t registered and are interested in attending all or some of the event, you can still register online. Walk-Ins are also welcome.
