Amputee Police Officer

Five years ago, I was involved in a motorcycle accident as a result of a teenager who was texting and driving. The accident left me in the hospital for two weeks and I was left having to make the decision to amputate my right foot. After six months of rehab, I returned to my job as an active-duty police officer. I’ve been able to serve my community as a police officer while having a prosthetic leg. This disability does not prevent me from performing my duties on the streets. I’ve embraced the challenge and difficulties of working with a prosthetic leg. I hope to inspire others to become law enforcement officers. No disability can hold you back!
