Paddy Rossbach Youth Camp
Check here for details on the 2015 Amputee Coalition's Paddy Rossbach Youth Camp.
The Amputee Coalition's Paddy Rossbach Youth Camp is a 5-day traditional summer camp experience for children ages 10-17 who have lost arms and/or legs or who were born with limb differences. The camp offers challenging activities that build campers' confidence regardless of skill level and takes place at Camp JOY in Clarksville, OH.
A unique aspect of our program is that campers are not accompanied by their parents, which inspires campers to take on new challenges, be independent, test themselves and build new friendships in a supportive, caring environment.
The Coalition covers all expenses, including travel, for the campers. The average cost to send a child to camp is $1,800. Since its beginning in 2000, the camp has hosted more than 790 campers with limb loss or limb difference.
2014 Boys vs. Girls Camp Fundraising Challenge
The Amputee Coalition is excited to announce its first ever Boys vs. Girls Camp Fundraising Challenge! Our goal is to raise enough money to send 100 kids to camp this July. We set up the Boys vs. Girls challenge as a fun, friendly competition to inspire past and present campers and their families to get involved and help keep this important program that impacts so many young lives going! The group with the most donations raised by the start of this year’s camp will receive a special surprise. Be sure to check out the 2014 Boys vs. Girls Camp Fundraising Challenge Crowdrise page at www.crowdrise.com/acacampchallenge and join the challenge and support a team!
