Paddy Rossbach Youth Camp
Check here for details on the 2015 Amputee Coalition's Paddy Rossbach Youth Camp.
The Amputee Coalition's Paddy Rossbach Youth Camp is a 5-day traditional summer camp experience for children ages 10-17 who have lost arms and/or legs or who were born with limb differences. The camp offers challenging activities that build campers' confidence regardless of skill level and takes place at Camp JOY in Clarksville, OH.
A unique aspect of our program is that campers are not accompanied by their parents, which inspires campers to take on new challenges, be independent, test themselves and build new friendships in a supportive, caring environment.
The Coalition covers all expenses, including travel, for the campers. The average cost to send a child to camp is $1,800. Since its beginning in 2000, the camp has hosted more than 790 campers with limb loss or limb difference.
2014 Boys vs. Girls Camp Fundraising Challenge
Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2014 Boys vs. Girls Fundraising Challenge! Your fundraising efforts helped to make the 2014 youth camp the biggest in history with 104 campers! The Amputee Coalition is excited to announce that over $22,000 was raised during the challenge. The girls came out victors this year, raising over $13,000, and received ice cream during the camp pool party and their names engraved on the camp trophy. Start getting excited for next year’s challenge, as we hope you can help us continue to send more and more kids to camp every year and make this camp the best it can be!
