The Amputee Coalition facilitates scholarships for people attending Conference, as well as two scholarships to be used for undergraduate studies.
Supported by the Kathy Spozio Bridge to Ability fund, the Amputee Coalitions Bridge to Abilities Scholarships break down the financial barriers to attending the National Conference. With two new scholarships, we are excited to be able to offer more options for more people.
This scholarship supports people who have had an amputation within the past 2 years. Multiple scholarships are awarded and the deadline for submission is April 7, 2017. Recipients will be notified on or about Friday, June 9, 2017.
The Bridge to Ability Scholarship provides full Conference registration, covering health and wellness education, technology sessions, special clinics and social networking, as well as lodging expenses and up to $600 in reimbursement for travel expenses. Saturday night’s It is the recipient’s option to attend the Saturday night banquet.
This fund will provide $1,000 toward tuition for the academic year to a full-time undergraduate student who has a congenital limb difference or an amputation.
The Amputee Coalition is excited to announce that we are now offering eligible high school seniors, recent high school graduates, adults returning to school, and current college students the opportunity to apply for the Scott Decker, M.D., Memorial Scholarship! The winner of this scholarship will be awarded $1,000 toward their college tuition in the academic year.
