The following is a tentative agenda for In Full Swing, the Amputee Coalition’s 2017 National Conference in Louisville, Kentucky.

First Swim
First Swim will introduce patients to swimming with their level of limb loss/difference. Participants will learn skills and activities to help them swim and stay active.

First-Time Attendee Orientation
This session will orient first-time attendees to the National Conference to help them maximize their conference experience.

Living With Your Level of Limb Loss Sessions
These eight sessions are tailored to the unique needs of individuals with particular levels of limb loss. Each session will give an overview of rehabilitation issues and unique considerations for your level of limb loss, followed by ample time for discussion. Please bring your questions!

One Step at a Time Fitness
with Jen Brigham and special guests!
Adaptive workout challenge! Get a detailed workout plan that you’ll be able to use at home with minimal equipment, or take it to the next level at your local gym. Joining me are special guests: Justine Clifton, Jimmy Spiegel and Stephanie Gunsalus. Three things to expect: basic nutrition, confidence while working out, and personal workouts with multiple options to allow you to make modifications as needed, depending on your level of amputation. All activity levels welcome!

Gait Analysis Clinic and Fall Prevention Workshop
Physical therapists work one-on-one with participants to evaluate their mobility. Receive hands-on education on proper muscle engagement to help improve your balance and walk with a smoother gait. Space is limited; clinic registration is available at the Amputee Coalition Information Booth.

For 16 years, the Mobility Clinics have offered Amputee Coalition members and physical therapists the opportunity to learn how to improve prosthetic mobility. The session includes a walking assessment, balance training, and gait instruction.
