Thank you for your interest in our Bridge to Ability Scholarships. The deadline for submitting the application for these scholarships has passed. Please check back for application instructions and forms in early 2018 for our Bridge to Ability, Second Chance, and Caregiver Scholarships.
The Bridge to Ability Scholarships were created to help reduce or eliminate the financial barriers that can make it impossible for amputees and their caregivers to attend the Amputee Coalition National Conference for the first time. The Bridge to Ability Scholarships are made possible by our generous donors. And we are especially grateful to Kathy Spozio’s family for establishing this scholarship program.
The Bridge to Ability and Second Change Bridge to Ability Scholarships provide full conference registration (which includes health and wellness education, technology sessions, special clinics and social networking) as well as lodging expenses and up to $600 in reimbursement for travel expenses. The scholarships do NOT include the Gala Dinner. If a scholarship recipient would like to attend the Gala Dinner, they must purchase a ticket.
The Bridge to Ability Scholarship is for people living with limb loss who have never attended a conference, have had a limb loss within the last two years, and are not financially able to attend conference.
The Second Chance Bridge to Ability Scholarship is designed for people with limb loss or limb difference who have never attended a conference and are not financially able to attend conference.
The Caregiver Scholarship offers financial support for people who are the primary caregiver for someone living with limb loss and are unable to attend Conference because of financial constraints.
