Limb Loss Education & Awareness Program (LLEAP)
One of the major issues
children with limb loss
or limb differences face is
how to interact with their
peers and the stigma that
can sometimes accompany their limb
difference. The ACA developed the Limb
Loss Education & Awareness Program
(LLEAP) to teach children to understand
and appreciate similarities and differences
in each other. This program is designed to
be delivered in the classroom for preschool
through sixth grades.
The curriculum includes fun exercises to
teach children about the uniqueness and
strengths of every individual and how each
of us can help one another to become all
