Amputee Coalition Youth Camp
This news story about the 2008 Amputee Coalition Youth Camp highlights the enthusiasm our campers feel when they interact with others like them – some for the very first time. This is just one reason why the camp matters so much to the lives of young people with limb loss and underscores the importance of continued financial support for the Camp in 2009 and beyond.
This summer’s Youth Camp was a tremendous success.
The costs of hosting over 90 young amputees, junior counselors and counselors is higher than ever before and continues to increase with rising airfares and other transportation expenses. In addition, the move to larger and more extensive facilities in Ohio brought greater costs. Please make a donation and help defray this year’s additional costs and sustain and grow the Amputee Coalition Youth Camp next year and beyond.
