This September, American audiences will get a chance to see some of the world’s top athletes with disabilities in action as Never Dull Productions presents the BBC’s Highlights of the 2008 Manchester Paralympic World Cup Games on ESPNU. Top athletes featured include Natalie Du Toit, the first amputee swimmer to compete in both the Olympics and Paralympics, American Jeff Skiba, the first amputee to clear seven feet in the high jump, American sprinter April Holmes, the world's fastest woman amputee, the US men’s wheelchair basketball team and the Chinese women's wheelchair basketball team. Many of the athletes in this program will also compete at the Beijing Paralympics Games which kick off on September 7 -- 14 days after the close of the Olympics. The program will air on September 2 at 6:00 am, September 5 at 11:00 pm and October 5 at 4:00 pm. These are all EST.

As far as known, this will be the only Paralympic-related television broadcast airing in the U.S. as the Beijing Paralympics begin on September 6.

The one-hour program, featuring top competitors in swimming, cycling, wheelchair basketball and track & field, presents highlights of the Paralympic World Cup Games held May 7 - 11, 2008 in Manchester, England. Over 400 competitors from 45 countries participated. The Summer Paralympics is the second largest sporting event in the world. Over 4000 athletes are scheduled to compete at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics.
