David Bickers, Chairman of the Douglas Bader Foundation, along with Guy Jackson, Grant Smith and 25 others, including amputees, will hike the Inca Trail through the Andes Mountains in Peru, South America.

The hike will go from Cuzco to Machu Picchu and back to Cuzco, September 10-19, 2005. The goal is to raise funds for the Douglas Bader Foundation initiative CHAMPS (CHild AMPuteeS).

CHAMPS, a project in association with the British Amputee & les Autres Sports Association, provides weekend trips that introduce amputee youngsters from around the United Kingdom to the benefits of physical activity, sport and fitness while also providing an informal forum for parents and families to discuss and share experiences and solutions to problems.
