OPAF to Host Auction Event to Benefit Programs for Amputees and Orthosis Wearers

The Orthotic & Prosthetic Assistance Fund, Inc. (OPAF) will host “First Bid,” a live and silent auction event, in conjunction with the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists Annual Meeting in San Francisco, California. The event will be held Thursday, March 22, from 6-8 p.m. in the Club Bar on the second floor of the San Francisco Marriott at 55 Fourth Street. “First Bid” will feature the San Francisco string quartet “Garden Strings,” “Cocktails for a Cause,” as well as the always-popular OPAF Silent Auction and a brand new Live Auction! Items available for auction include a weeklong stay at a villa in Costa Rica, a TaylorMade R-7460 driver, a full conference registration to the upcoming Amputee Coalition of America conference in Atlanta, a VIP tour of Washington, D.C., and much more, including theatre tickets, one-of-a-kind items, autographed memorabilia, and even a Paralympic torch from the 1996 games in Atlanta.
