  • Collaborating - Voices- Forum: A place to share your thoughts and ideas about the what is happening and what must begin to happen in your state
  • Katrina Disability Expert Volunteers - Register your skills to volunteer so people who need you can find you
  • Share your accessible home or find your accessible home
  • Information primarily of use to agencies - fact sheets for those assisting hurricane victims
  • Searching for a Lost Loved One
  • Blogs discussing emergency response and relief efforts specific to people with disabilities.
  • News & Editorials
  • What Next? How do we assure nothing like this ever happens again, and what do we do to help us recover and move on?
  • State specific information  - Each state has its own forum to discuss state specific issues
NOTE: State Moderators for KatrinaDisability.Info Needed

Responsibilities:

 1. Moderator state /section information to keep up-to-date
 2. Confirm accuracy when possible
 3. Check links to be sure they work and/ or go where they say they go every 3 days or more

 4. Provide new state-specfic information on an on needed basis

a.Official state information releases

b. State disability organizations press releases and contact infomation

c. Opportunities to help, monetary and materially to people with disabilities

d. Information survivors with disabilities in state need rebuild their lives

 1. A by-line and a link to your webpage if appropriate
 2. Satisfaction for a job well-done
 3. A great bit to add to your resume
 4. Access to toll-free support

 Expectations:

 1. To keep in touch via email at least once every 3 days, providing updates and changes
 2. If this is not something you find you can do well, find help or help find a replacement
 3. To make a committment to be a moderator at least until March, 2006
