SSB 1076, a bill for prosthetic coverage was introduced into the Senate Commerce committee by Chairperson Warnstadt. It is now being reviewed by a subcommittee of three senators --- Rielly, Olive and Ward.
The ACA is partnering with Policy Works, the new lobbying firm working to support the Iowa bill. But we need your help!
How can I help? Send a letter or make a call to the Commerce committee today to urge them to support this important bill.
The "10 in 10" campaign is an exciting new organizing initiative. Get involved today!
What is “10 in 10”? We are asking every activist in IA to print a copy of the petition in support of prosthetic coverage and get 9 people to sign on in support and fax it back to the ACA. We are working to get this done in 10 days.
You + 9 people = 10 more activists (in 10 days) That is “10 in 10”!
What will happen with the petitions? We will make copies of the petitions to take to give to legislators to demonstrate support for the bill. We will also stay in touch with people who sign on in support in order to keep them updated on the status of the bill.
Join the “10 in 10” campaign today!
1) Print out the petition.
2) Sign the petition (make sure to include your e-mail).
3) Get 9 friends, colleagues, neighbors and/or family members to sign the petition.
4) Send it back to the ACA (Mail it to Amputee Coalition of America, P.O. Box 73725, Washington, D.C. 20056 or fax it to 866/599-8994).
Please, get your petitions back to the ACA as soon as possible!
