Volunteer physical therapists with expertise in gait training are needed for the 10th annual gait lab at ACA’s Annual Educational Conference & Exposition to be held June 15-17 at the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel in Minneapolis, Minnesota. PTs will work with each amputee for 30-45 minutes. During this time, the PTs will take a brief history of the amputee, videotape him or her walking (and running), and help him or her practice gait training improvement techniques. This marvelous experience will provide PTs the opportunity to work with multiple amputees and experienced PTs, while volunteering to help the ACA! Contact hours are offered for those who volunteer four or more hours with the gait lab, and their meeting registration fee is waived for that day.
